Overview

Verse is a direct-download macOS app. This site exists to explain the product, take payment through Stripe, and deliver beta access. This policy covers what data the site and beta access flow touch.

What the site collects

When you browse the site, Verse may collect basic product analytics such as page views, referral information, and button clicks. This helps measure which pages are useful and whether checkout and download flows are working.

If you purchase Verse, Stripe provides Verse with limited checkout details needed to unlock beta access, such as your checkout session status and the email address attached to the purchase.

How information is used

Verse uses this information to:

  • deliver beta access after purchase
  • confirm that a checkout completed successfully
  • understand which pages and links are being used
  • debug broken checkout, access, or download flows

Third-party services

Stripe is used for payment processing and hosted checkout. PostHog is used for privacy-conscious product analytics on the site. These providers may process information according to their own policies.

What Verse does not do on this site

The public site does not require an account, and Verse does not sell personal data gathered through the site. The site is not a social product, marketplace, or ad network.

Data retention

Checkout and beta access records may be retained for operational, fraud-prevention, and accounting purposes. Analytics data may be retained to measure site performance and troubleshoot the purchase flow over time.

Your choices

If you do not want analytics tied to your visit, you can leave the site at any time or block analytics in your browser. If you do not want to use Stripe checkout, do not complete a purchase.

Changes

This policy may change as Verse moves from public beta to a more mature release. Material updates will be reflected on this page.
